BRAND STRATEGY
WEBSITE DESIGN

Improving your body doesn't always mean chasing a six-pack or perfectly sculpted glutes. Every body is unique, just like every individual is unique. Not everyone strives for or can achieve the same chiseled physique, and that's perfectly okay. Unfortunately, this difference in body goals can lead to feelings of insecurity, preventing some people from exercising at all. Emma from Embody wants to change this. She aims to create an inclusive environment where everyone can be themselves, regardless of their body type. Whether you strive for a muscular body or are proud of your curves, at Embody you'll find an approach that shapes your body in a way that makes you happy.

WHO ARE THEY EXACTLY?

Emma, a personal trainer and nutrition coach, noticed more and more people striving for unrealistic ideals promoted by the media. This creates insecurity and pressure to meet these standards. Embody aims to break this pattern. They emphasize the importance of being yourself, independent of external expectations. At Embody, they listen to you and your wishes to develop a personalized plan that fits your goals and needs, allowing you to shape your body in a way that feels right for you.

ANY INSIGHTS?

Although attention to body positivity is increasing, many people still feel very insecure about themselves. Especially in the promotion of gyms and by personal trainers, you often see images of very muscular people, an ideal that is not achievable or desirable for everyone. This creates the illusion that this is the norm, which is of course not true. There is clearly a need for change in this area.

AND WHAT SEEMS T BE THE PROBLEM?

To create a space where everyone feels at home, it is essential to develop an identity that fits perfectly. Currently, many gyms have a strong focus on muscle building. I aim to change this.

HOW DID I GET ON
WITH IT?

I began by researching existing personal trainers and gyms to determine how to make Embody stand out. In addition to the research, I started thinking about the name and soon came up with "Embody," as it represents "expressing" oneself, which is exactly what Emma stands for: showing yourself in your own way. Furthermore, the name is derived from the founder, "Emma." From there, I created a brand story and developed matching designs.

THE VOICE OF ACCEPTANCE

The tone of voice needed to convey a sense of acceptance, encouraging you to be yourself and strive for what you want. Together with the copywriter, we developed a voice that perfectly aligns with this goal.

BREATHES DIVERSITY

The branding showcases the diversity of people and bodies, with a logo that transitions from broad to slender to muscular forms, perfectly aligning with the story Embody wants to tell. The choice of imagery powerfully illustrates this diversity and acceptance. Everything Embody presents reflects these values.

AND THE RESULTS?

Embody has carved out a strong position in a market where there was a need for a place where you are accepted as you are and can shape your body according to your own desires. It is an environment that encourages and supports you in achieving your personal ideal. I am proud to have contributed to creating a beautiful branding for this fantastic personal trainer!
